Privacy Policy

The short version. Your worlds are yours. We do not sell your data. We do not use your imported books, notes or NPC conversations to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's. Ever.

1. What we collect

Account info: email address, name (optional), platform preference, how you heard about us. Provided when you join the waitlist or sign up.
Your content: worlds, characters, locations, factions, items, and NPC chat history. Stored only to provide the Service to you.
Usage analytics: anonymous events like "app opened" or "world created" via privacy-respecting analytics. No third-party trackers, no cross-site identifiers.
Diagnostics: crash reports and performance metrics, with personal identifiers stripped.

2. How we use it

To operate and improve the Service.
To send beta invitations and product updates (you can unsubscribe any time).
To respond to your support requests.

3. AI features

The Lore Engine and Roleplay features process your world's content via large language models hosted by us and a third-party AI provider. Content sent to AI providers is bound by their zero-retention agreements: requests are not stored or used for model training. Each NPC chat is grounded only in the documents and history that belong to that character.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

Cloud infrastructure providers strictly to operate the Service (database, file storage, push notifications, email delivery).
AI providers as described in section 3, bound by zero-retention.
Law enforcement when legally required, and only the minimum requested.

5. Your rights

You can:

Export all your worlds as JSON or markdown from in-app Settings.
Delete your account and all associated content at any time.
Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email.
Request a copy of all data we hold about you by writing to privacy@loremaster.app.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, all of your content is removed from our primary storage within 7 days and from backups within 30 days.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. International

The Service is operated from the European Union. If you access from elsewhere, your data may be processed in the EU under GDPR-equivalent safeguards.

9. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
